Terms of Service
Effective Date: June 8, 2026
[Heading1] 1. Introduction
PLEASE READ THESE TERMS OF SERVICE (“TERMS”) CAREFULLY. THIS IS A BINDING CONTRACT.
Welcome to the services operated by Krafty Thinking, LLC (collectively with its affiliates, “we,” “our,” or “us”) for the Moral Pulse app, based in the United States. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app. Questions about these Terms may be directed to [email protected].
These Terms apply whether you are a registered or unregistered user. By clicking “Sign Up” or otherwise registering, downloading, accessing, or using Moral Pulse, you are entering into a legally binding agreement between you and Moral Pulse. You acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not access or use any aspect of Moral Pulse.
[Heading1] 2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age to use Moral Pulse. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you are 18 years of age or older. If we discover that an account has been created by someone under the age of 18, we will terminate that account and delete any associated data promptly. Moral Pulse is not directed at minors, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 18.
[Heading1] 3. Your Account
[Heading2] 3.1 Registration
You must provide a valid email address and a display name to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and for all activity that occurs under your account.
[Heading2] 3.2 Accurate Information
You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update it as necessary.
[Heading2] 3.3 Account Security
You agree to notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized access to your account. We are not liable for losses caused by unauthorized use of your account.
[Heading2] 3.4 Access to Moral Pulse
Subject to your compliance with these Terms (including any other applicable terms and conditions), we grant to you a limited, non-exclusive, revocable permission to make personal, non-commercial use of Moral Pulse (collectively, “Access”). This Access shall remain in effect unless and until terminated by you or Moral Pulse. You agree that you will not redistribute Moral Pulse.
[Heading1] 4. Legal and Acceptable Use
[Heading2] 4.1 Permitted Use
You may use Moral Pulse only for lawful, personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.
[Heading2] 4.2 Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
- Submit content that is defamatory, harassing, threatening, obscene, hateful, or discriminatory.
- Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.
- Use the app to distribute spam, malware, or unsolicited commercial communications.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the app or its underlying systems.
- Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from the app without our prior written permission.
- Use automated means (bots, scripts, etc.) to interact with the app, cast votes, or manipulate community rankings.
- Submit dilemmas or community content designed to harass specific individuals.
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the app or its servers.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the app.
[Heading2] 4.3 Community Debate Submissions
When you submit a dilemma for the Community Debate feature, you represent that your submission:
- Is your original content or that you have the right to submit it.
- Does not target, identify, or harass any real individual.
- Does not contain hate speech, illegal content, or graphic violence.
We reserve the right to remove any submission that violates these Terms or that we determine, in our sole discretion, is not appropriate for the community. We do not currently offer a formal appeals process for content moderation decisions, though we may do so in the future.
[Heading2] 4.4 Beta and Pre-Release Access
From time to time, we may offer access to pre-release or beta versions of Moral Pulse (“Beta”), including through Apple’s TestFlight platform. Beta access is provided “as is” and is subject to these Terms. During a Beta period: (a) features, content, and functionality may change significantly or be removed without notice; (b) user data may be reset or deleted at our discretion; (c) availability is not guaranteed and may be interrupted at any time; and (d) your feedback may be used by us to improve the app. Beta access does not entitle you to any specific feature set in the final release.
[Heading2] 4.5 Dilemma Room Sessions
Dilemma Room is a real-time multiplayer feature available to premium subscribers. When participating in an Dilemma Room session, you agree that: (a) you will conduct yourself respectfully and not use the session to harass, abuse, or threaten other participants; and (b) session interactions are subject to the same prohibited conduct standards set out in Section 4.2. We reserve the right to remove any user from a session and to terminate access to Dilemma Room for violations of these Terms. Dilemma Room is provided on a best-efforts basis; we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or connection quality.
[Heading1] 5. User-Generated Content
[Heading2] 5.1 Ownership
You retain ownership of content you submit to the app, including your display name, bio, and Community Debate submissions (“User Content”).
[Heading2] 5.2 License to Us
By submitting User Content, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive, sublicensable license to use, reproduce, display, distribute, edit (including for length, clarity, and moderation), and adapt your User Content for the purpose of operating, promoting, and improving Moral Pulse. This includes use in marketing and promotional contexts, such as social media, newsletters, or other communications highlighting community activity. This license ends when you delete your content or your account, except that (a) Community Debate submissions that have been featured for a weekly community vote, and any content already incorporated into aggregate or anonymized data, may be retained and displayed after deletion; and (b) to the extent permitted by applicable law, you waive any moral rights you may have in User Content you submit.
[Heading2] 5.3 Public Visibility
Your display name and bio are visible to all authenticated users of the app. Community Debate submissions that reach the weekly vote are visible to the entire community and remain publicly viewable, alongside your display name, after the voting week concludes. Do not submit information you wish to keep private in these fields. Location, gender, and birth year (if provided) are not publicly visible and are used only for aggregate statistical and demographic breakdowns.
[Heading1] 6. Subscription and Payment
[Heading2] 6.1 Free Features
Daily Debate, Daily Quiz, and Community Debate are available to all registered users at no charge.
[Heading2] 6.2 Dilemma Room (Premium)
Dilemma Room is a premium feature available for $1.99 per month or $17.99 per year (“Subscription”). We will provide at least 30 days’ advance notice of any price changes, delivered via email or a prominent in-app notice.
[Heading2] 6.3 Billing
Subscriptions are managed through RevenueCat and processed through the applicable platform store — Apple’s App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android) — and are subject to the respective platform’s payment terms. Payment is charged to your App Store or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase.
Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the then-current subscription rate.
To manage or cancel your subscription:
- iOS: Go to Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions.
- Android: Go to the Google Play Store > Account > Subscriptions.
[Heading2] 6.4 Cancellation and Refunds
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your App Store or Google Play account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you retain access to premium features through that date. Refunds are governed by Apple’s or Google’s refund policies, as applicable. We do not issue refunds directly.
[Heading2] 6.5 Free Trials
We may offer free trials at our discretion. If a free trial is offered, it will be described at the point of subscription. If you do not cancel before the trial period ends, your App Store or Google Play account will be charged at the standard subscription rate.
[Heading2] 6.6 EU and UK Consumers — Right of Withdrawal
If you are located in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you may have a statutory right to withdraw from a purchase within 14 days. However, by initiating your subscription and accessing the Dilemma Room feature, you expressly request immediate performance of the service and acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once performance has begun. For App Store and Google Play purchases, Apple’s and Google’s standard purchase flows also collect this consent at the point of purchase. If you have questions about your withdrawal rights, contact us at [email protected].
[Heading1] 7. Intellectual Property
[Heading2] 7.1 Our Intellectual Property
All content, design, code, trademarks, and other materials comprising the Moral Pulse app (excluding User Content) are owned by or licensed to us and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not use our name, logo, or brand without our prior written consent. Nothing in the app constitutes a representation that Moral Pulse’s content is editorially neutral; the app’s dilemmas and quiz content are provided for educational and entertainment purposes only and do not constitute endorsement of any particular viewpoint.
[Heading2] 7.2 Copyright Infringement (DMCA)
We respect the intellectual property rights of others and expect users to do the same. If you believe that content available on or through the app infringes your copyright, you may send a written notice to our designated DMCA agent at [email protected]. Your notice must include: (a) a physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or authorized agent; (b) identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed; (c) identification of the material claimed to be infringing and information sufficient for us to locate it; (d) your contact information; (e) a statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner; and (f) a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner. We reserve the right to remove content alleged to infringe and to terminate accounts of repeat infringers.
[Heading1] 8. Third-Party Services
Moral Pulse integrates the following third-party services to operate the app:
- Supabase — database hosting and authentication.
- RevenueCat — subscription management and billing, acting as an intermediary between the app and the Apple App Store and Google Play.
- Firebase/Google (Firebase Cloud Messaging) — push notification delivery.
- Apple StoreKit / Google Play — in-app purchase and subscription processing on iOS and Android respectively.
Your use of the app may be subject to the terms and privacy policies of these third-party providers. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party services, and their terms govern your use of their respective services.
[Heading1] 9. Disclaimers
MORAL PULSE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.
The ethical dilemmas, quiz questions, and philosophical content in the app are provided for educational and entertainment purposes only. Nothing in the app constitutes professional legal, medical, psychological, or other professional advice.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue Moral Pulse (or any part of it) at any time, with or without notice, and without liability to you. If you are a paid subscriber at the time of discontinuation, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you in advance, but we make no guarantee of continued service.
[Heading1] 10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, KRAFTY THINKING, LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE MORAL PULSE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING UNDER THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM OR (B) $10 USD.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or the limitation of liability for incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations may not apply to you.
[Heading1] 11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Krafty Thinking, LLC, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in connection with: (a) your use of the app; (b) your User Content; or (c) your violation of these Terms.
[Heading1] 12. Termination
[Heading2] 12.1 By You
You may terminate your account at any time by deleting it from within the app’s settings. Termination does not entitle you to a refund of any prepaid subscription fees.
[Heading2] 12.2 By Us
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account, with or without notice, if we determine that you have violated these Terms or that your continued use poses a risk to other users or to the integrity of the platform. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you via email before termination unless immediate action is required.
[Heading2] 12.3 Effect of Termination
Upon termination, your right to use the app ceases immediately. Sections 5.2, 7, 9, 10, 11, 13, and 14 survive termination.
[Heading1] 13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
[Heading2] 13.1 Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Tennessee, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
[Heading2] 13.2 Informal Resolution
Before initiating any legal proceeding, you agree to contact us at [email protected] and give us 30 days to attempt to resolve the dispute informally.
[Heading2] 13.3 Arbitration
If we cannot resolve a dispute informally, you and we agree to resolve it through binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, rather than in court. YOU AND WE EACH WAIVE THE RIGHT TO A JURY TRIAL AND TO PARTICIPATE IN A CLASS ACTION.
Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking injunctive or other equitable relief in court to protect intellectual property rights or to prevent irreparable harm.
For users located in the European Union or the United Kingdom, nothing in this Section 13 limits your right to bring claims before the courts of your country of residence or to make use of any applicable alternative dispute resolution schemes available under local law. EU and UK consumers may also bring complaints before their local consumer protection authority or use any national alternative dispute resolution (ADR) entity available under local law.
[Heading2] 13.4 Arbitration Opt-Out
You may opt out of the agreement to arbitrate by sending written notice to [email protected] within 30 days of first creating your Moral Pulse account. Your notice must include your name, your account email address, and a clear statement that you wish to opt out of arbitration. If you opt out, all disputes will be resolved in a court of competent jurisdiction in Tennessee, and you and we each consent to personal jurisdiction there.
[Heading2] 13.5 Exceptions
Notwithstanding the above, either party may bring an individual action in small claims court for disputes within that court’s jurisdiction.
[Heading1] 14. General Provisions
[Heading2] 14.1 Changes to These Terms
We may modify these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by a prominent in-app notice at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the app after the effective date constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
[Heading2] 14.2 Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy (available at https://moral-pulse.com/privacy), constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding your use of Moral Pulse and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
[Heading2] 14.3 Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, that provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
[Heading2] 14.4 Waiver
Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.
[Heading2] 14.5 Assignment
You may not assign your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations freely, including in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
[Heading2] 14.6 Force Majeure
We will not be liable for any delay or failure to perform our obligations under these Terms due to causes beyond our reasonable control, including acts of God, natural disasters, pandemic, war, terrorism, labor disputes, internet or telecommunications outages, government actions, or failures of third-party service providers (including Apple’s App Store, Google Play, or cloud infrastructure providers).

You must comply with applicable third-party terms of agreement when using the app. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms, and upon your acceptance of these Terms, Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.
